Our problem at my house are pincher bugs. That’s not their official name, I don’t have a CLUE what they actually are… they don’t actually sting or pinch you, but they have what looks like GIANT claws on their ass, and they’re EVERYWHERE.
Have to spray this stuff every spring and fall to keep them out of the house. They’re annoying as CRAP. Luckily, the same spray kills most ant populations as well, so I haven’t had the issue with ants since spraying this stuff.
EARWIGS. D: Oh man those things DEFINITELY give me the willies!!! BLEUGHHH
Them’s the bugs! They don’t give me any willies, but I just don’t prefer them crawling all over my daughter’s toys that she chews on, ya know?
Haha I hear that, man. We always end up having them in the pool and it grosses me out D:
Ugh, I hate earwigs so much! They’re the only thing that I’ll go out of my way to kill when I see them outside. Which may make me sound terrible, but those things are unpleasant.
And I have a desire to make a product called Ded Ant now. That second panel looks so ominous and fantastic.
Haha for seeeerious. Earwigs are so nasty!
And thank you!! I had a bit of trouble with the perspective, but it was a nice learning experience for me
Personally I’ve always found that boiling water works the best to flush them out, and then lay down some ant powder around the edges of your house, but I’ve found spray works well too =)
Haha, oh man I can only imagine the mess I would’ve made if I ran around the house with a kettle full of boiling water I spill enough stuff as is!
UGH Stupid ants! I’m glad you got rid of them though! I hate ants…we just had issues with HUGE black carpenter ants Luckily our apartment complex rocks and they sent out someone right away to spray and we haven’t seen an ant since!
Wow that’s awesome! That’s one thing I do miss about apartment life: I wasn’t responsible for maintaining jack crap!
We’ve got fire ants in TX – similar type if ‘super ‘ colony – they have multiple queens. Our neighborhood gets together and treats it all at once. Got them under control – we use the store bought ‘fire ant’ treatment.
Oh. My. GOD. Dude, screw fire ants. We surprisingly found them up here in MD when a coworker and I were tearing off the insulation of a pumping system, and there were THOUSANDS of them tucked inside there. What’s ridiculous is when we hit them with ant spray, they reared their heads up and spread their front legs out, as if to say “WHAT?! THAT ALL YOU GOT?!?!” The ant spray we used was… well… useless. haha. But then we just let them be overnight, and when we got back to the work site the next morning, they were all gone. Thank goodness D:
Oh I so feel for you. Down in the great state of Texas where I live, my biggest problem is fire ants. Honestly, I’d rather have the smell than the bite that those little suckers can give you. They also form rather huge ant beds with multiples, and are almost impossible to exterminate.
I’ve watched the Discovery Channel enough times to know that those suckers don’t mess around D: AGREED on them being next to impossible to exterminate!!
