I actually might be funnier than [insert popular comedian], even!! :0

Okay so hey I didn’t update last week! Well, I was doing my best to try to hammer out my book so I can get it out to everyone who preordered! I probably spent close to 40 hours on the book ALONE last week. It probably wouldn’t take so dang long if I had an idea of what I was doing, but that’s also been half of the “fun” of making this book: just learning how to do it and the process.

And then last Thursday ended with me in the emergency room at the hospital room. I was having this pain in my lower right abdomen that was progressively getting worse as the day went on. Eventually, I finally decided it was time to see a doctor. I went to an urgent care facility first, thinking I had a kidney stone or maybe a urinary tract infection. By the time that I was seen in a doctor, it was getting difficult to just breathe normally, and I was starting to sweat because I was in so much pain. They diagnosed me as possibly having appendicitis, and told me that I needed to go to the hospital emergency room. Called my wife up, she picked me up and dropped me off at the hospital. OH and I should also mention that this was all happening while my son was sick with a 102 degree F/38.9 degree C fever, so my wife was having to stay home with him while I tried to get myself taken care of. Not good timing AT ALL.

Anyway, I got a referral to get a CAT scan at the hospital ER so that they could look at my guts to see if everything was alright. Hours pass, finally get my CAT scan, and it comes back that my appendix was healthy, and I did, in fact, have kidney stones. In fact, I had one that was 3mm in diameter and it was stuck maybe a quarter of the way through my ureter (the tube connecting the kidney to the bladder) coming from my right kidney. So they gave me some meds to help me out, and I finally passed that sucker on Saturday. Thank goodness.

So anyway, that pretty much wraps up what happened last week! I just really want to make sure this book is awesome and that people will enjoy it when I finally get it out to them. It just happens to be taking a LOT longer than I expected so I figured that I might as well try to update on top of it just to keep everyone in the loop. I’d say I’m about 85% done, I just have art assets to finish up that I wanted to add to the book and then it’ll be sent off to the printer! Thank you SO SO SO much to everyone who contributed!! You all are amazing, and you have definitely played a part in making one of my dreams come true.
