It can also be used to toss into fountains, and drop into little donation jars on store counters.
And, when money is really tight, to actually buy something and earn the wrath of the cashier.
Heh, Sara, I work at a car dealership (I’m their I.T. guy, so don’t ask me any car questions, ‘a’cause I don’t know the answer!) and we had a guy just recently purchase a used car… and the biggest denomination he had was a quarter.
He’d been collecting his coins for 17 years in jars, buckets, pretty much anything he could get his hands on. Brought the $12k or so to us in a truck, we had to take it to the bank to get it counted. The bank charged us $500 to count it (which I thought was fair, that would be a pain in the BUTT even WITH the auto-counter!) and he actually wound up having about $1200 extra in coins once it was all counted.
That guy sounds like an ass! If he had been collecting it for 17 years what stopped him from OCCASIONALLY taking the change to the bank himself and getting bills for it. Thats goofy to do that to a dealership
Heh, I think change’s only purpose in life is a) getting soda out of a machine and b) make noise when you walk. 😀
also for flicking at people, according to a coworker of mine!! D:
*gasp* No,no,no,no,no… I’m far, FAR too cheap to throw money at someone! If they didn’t return it, you’d be out that quarter/dime! :p
haha, yeah that’s sort of how it works. And holy moly you hijacked this comic strip!! hahaha

Took six days to count it all. 🙂

I just gotta say. I love that guy. $12k in change puts my piggybanks to shame!
That guy must have not had it easy all those years. Think about the space!
hehehe 😀 oh how many times have I done that when money was tight!!
Good thing you made that jingle wave BLUE because if it had been green…you woulda had a fart wave 😀
Either would have been appropriate in my opinion 😛
Haha so appropriate!! 😀 I love the TRUE oldies so much!!
